Veterinary Assistant

Gabrielle is a veterinary assistant who has been working in the veterinary field since the beginning of 2025 and has been part of the practice since October. She has spent her entire life caring for a wide variety of animals, which led her to pursue a degree in Equine Studies with a training concentration. Gabrielle gained hands-on experience working at an equine hospital in Wilmington, North Carolina for nine months before joining VWP.

She enjoys building meaningful relationships with her fellow team members, clients, and patients, and is passionate about continuing to learn and grow in her role each day. Gabrielle has always had a deep love for animals, making a career in veterinary medicine a natural path for her.

At home, Gabrielle has two beloved horses—Pete, a 16-year-old Quarter Horse, and Mr. Darcy, her Half-Arab yearling—as well as four cats. Her horses are her main hobby, but she also enjoys reading and crocheting in her free time. While horses are her favorite animals, she says if she could have any exotic animal, it would be an elephant.
